People helping people
During natural disasters, the Vanuatu Red Cross Society (VRCS) provides emergency relief to the most affected people, wherever they are in the country. You can read more about our vital work here.
We also provide communities with skills and services in first aid, health and sanitation, disaster preparedness, and humanitarian law. We have over 300 registered volunteers, 30 staff members, and 5 branches across Vanuatu.
Make a donation
Donations are one of the best ways to help us to continue our work and make a difference to the lives of the people we help.
Become a partner
Corporate partnerships contribute greatly to our work. Learn how Vanuatu Red Cross can develop a mutually beneficial partnership with your organisation.

First Aid
Being trained in First Aid gives you the skills and confidence to react in an emergency and potentially save a life. Book a first aid training workshop with our experienced team, or order a first aid kit online.
Become a volunteer
Give back to your community and develop your own skills by becoming a VRCS volunteer.
Disaster Preparation
Being ready to respond to an emergency or any event that impacts your life can make a huge difference to how you respond and recover. We have a range of resources available to help get you and your community ready.
About VRCS
Vanuatu Red Cross exists to support the most vulnerable people before, during and after disasters. Established by an Act of Parliament in 1982, VRCS has a branch in every province, ensuring we stay in touch with local communities and can respond to emergencies and disasters as soon as help is needed.
We belong to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, the world's largest humanitarian network of 16 million volunteers and members in 191 countries.
The Movement is made up of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), 191 National Societies and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
Our Movement's mission is to prevent or reduce human suffering, wherever it is found, using our Fundamental Principles as a guide.
National Societies act as auxiliaries to support the public authorities of their own countries providing a range of services including disaster relief, health and social programs and educating people about international humanitarian law (the “laws of war”).
