Cyclone Pam Recovery works still continues as the Vanuatu Red Cross Society is working closely with IFRC having assessed some of the school’s Classroom around the most affected areas after TC PAM.
Eretap Primary school was one of the most affected schools that needed help and assistance for one of its classroom.

On the 19 of April 2016 the Vanuatu Red Cross sign an MOA with the Chairman of the Eratap Primary School, the Eratap Community, and the MoET (Vanuatu Government) to facilitate the rehabilitation of the damaged classroom.

Works consist of walls and roofing works with retrofitting of post for additional strength, with community help, rehabilitation of the classrooms should begin soon.
This is not the first time for school classroom rehabilitation supported by the VRCS after TC PAM. Some other school have already been supported like one in Buninga Island in Shepherd.

Vanuatu Red Cross will also look forward to maintaining its work in school rehabilitation to some other pre identified schools that have been most affected and need assistance.
